"The man-worshipers, in my sense of the term, are those who see man's highest potential and strive to actualize it. The man-haters are those who regard man as a hapless, depraved, contemptible creature - and struggle to never let him discover otherwise."
This highlights Rand's philosophy that it is a man's ethical duty to reach his highest potential, to be creative, to be great, and to live for himself. This is similar to the philosophies of Aristotle, Nietzsche, and the Humanist Psychology movement.
